Chander Pahar is the most successful film in Bengali cinema. This is the first Indian film to be extensively shot in South Africa. The trailer was released at the Nicco park at 5 pm, on the occasion of Children’s Day on 14 November 2013. Shooting commenced on 20 April 2013.The film released on 20 December 2013. Shooting has been started from May 2016. The first teaser and poster of the movie were released on 21 September 2017.
It was already decided in 2014 that the next location, after the African safari, will be the dense forests of Amazon rainforest. It is the sequel to 2013 film Chander Pahar and the second installment of Chander Pahar film franchise. According to a Bengali magazine, in earlier 2014, director Kamaleshwar Mukherjee has already penned the script, taking the story forward from where it left. This Amazon Obhijaan is the 100th film of the production house. The movie is produced by Shrikant Mohta and Mahendra Soni under the banner of SVF Entertainment. Indraadip Dasgupta composed the songs of the film.
